List Of Sura's

Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2-280

And if (the debtor) is in difficulty, then wait till it is easy (for him to pay back your loan) and if you (convert) it as charity, it will be better for you if you knew.

“Same to Verse No.275”

2-281

And guard (yourselves against) a day in which you will be returned to Allah, then every soul will be paid back in full that which it had earned, and injustice will not be done to them. (R 38)

“Same to Verse No.275”

2-282

O you who believe! when you contract a loan for a fixed term then write it down and let a writer write it down between you with fairness and the writer should not refuse to write, as Allah has taught him so he shall write; and let him who owes the loan dictate and he should fear Allah, his Fosterer, and not reduce anything from it. And if he who owes the loan is of poor understanding or weak or unable to dictate it himself, then let his guardian dictate with fairness. And call in two witnesses from among your men, but if two men are not available then one man and two women from among those whom you choose as witnesses, so that if one (woman) errs, then the other (woman) may remind her. And the witnesses must not refuse when they are called. And do not be averse to writing down the (loan contract), whether the (amount) is small or large, along with its time (of payment); that is (an act of) justice with Allah and (good for) the establishment of testimony and the nearest (way) for avoiding doubt (in future), except when it is ready merchandise which you transact among yourselves from hand to hand, then (in that case) there is no sin on you if you do not write it down, and have witnesses when you trade. And do not harm the writer or the witness, and if you do (so) then it will certainly be a transgression on your (part) and fear Allah; and Allah teaches you and Allah is the Knower of everything.

2-283

And if you are on a journey and you do not find a writer (for the contract) then a security may be taken into possession, then if one of you entrusts another (with something) then he who is entrusted should deliver that which is entrusted to him and let him fear Allah, his Fosterer; and do not hide the testimony and one who hides it then his heart is certainly sinful; and Allah is the Knower of what you do. (R 39)

2-284

Whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth is Allahs. And whether you manifest that which is in your souls or hide it, Allah will call you to account for it, then He will protectively forgive whom He wills and will punish whom He wills and Allah has power over everything.

“It is separately reported by Abu Huriara (R.A) and Ibn-e-Abbas (R.A) that when this power over everything.” verse was revealed stating that one would have to account for that which is in his heart whether one makes it known to others or hides it, the companions (R.A) of the prophet (PBH) felt it hard and severe and came to the prophet (PBH) to express their concern. In reply to this the last two verses i.e 285 and 286 were revealed. Abi Masood (R.A.) reports that the messenger (PBH) of Allah (SWT) had said, ‘One who recites the last two verses of Surat-ul-Baqarah (i.e.285 and 286) during the night, it will be sufficient for him (Bukhari and Muslim). The devil appears to influence two important activities of the mind/heart through his instigations (was waas)!

1. Imagination and

2. Intention. A poor young man, can imagine a very rich and beautiful lady as his wife without any intention or plan to marry her, this imagination is an evil act yet he does not intend to harm anyone. It is probably about such (waswaas) that Abu Huraira (R.A.) reports. ‘The messenger (PBH) of Allah (SWT) observed, “verily Allah (SWT) forgave my people the evil promptings which arise within their hearts as long as they did not speak about them or did not act upon them (Bukhari; Muslim). Enemies of Islam had intended and planned to murder Ibrahim (PBH), Isa (PBH) and Muhammed (PBH) but they could not do so because Allah (SWT) had saved them. In this case, there is the bad intention and the cruel plan to kill innocent persons for no fault of theirs, therefore even if these persons could not execute their plan they are accountable, whether they had made their plan known to others or had kept it a secret because Allah (SWT) knows all secrets. The problem of punishing or forgiving such persons totally depends on Allah (SWT) because He has We may forget to implement some order of Allah (SWT) or commit a mistake while executing His orders, therefore we have to pray to Him for not catching us for such things and request him not to lay a burden on us as He had layed on our predecessors and a burden for which we do not have the capacity to bear. We should pray to Him for pardoning our past sins, protecting us from future sins, showering His mercy on us as our Guardian and finally helping us to invite the infidels towards Islam, through our faith and deed or giving us domination over them.”

2-285

The messenger believes in that which is sent down to him from his Fosterer, along with the believers, (they) all believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers: We make no difference between any of His messengers and they say, “”We hear and we obey, (we seek) Your protective forgiveness our Fosterer, and towards You is the destination.””

“Items of faith are detailed and the commitment of obedience is taken.”

2-286

Allah does not task a soul except to its capacity, for it, is (the benefit of) what it has earned and against it, is (the harm of) what it has earned. Our Fosterer! do not catch us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Fosterer! and do not lay on us a burden like the one which was laid by You on those before us. Our Fosterer! and do not lay on us (a burden for) which we do not have the strength to bear, and pardon us, and protectively forgive us, and have mercy on us, You are our Guardian so help us against the people who are infidels.
