Hud (Hud)

11-40

(This dispute continued) until when Our commandment came and the water gushed forth from the (reservoir in the) valley (and) We said, “”Load in the (ship) two from every pair and your people and whoever believes, except him against whom the word has already gone forth,”” and a small number believed with him.

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ ۚ وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-41

And he said, “”Embark in it. In the name of Allah be its sailing and its anchoring, your Fosterer is certainly Protectively Forgiving, Merciful.””

وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-42

And it sailed with them in waves like mountains and Nuh called out to his son while he was separate (from those in the ship), “”O my son! embark with us and do not be with the infidels.””

وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ابْنَهُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَبْ مَعَنَا وَلَا تَكُنْ مَعَ الْكَافِرِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-43

He said, “”I will betake myself to a mountain, it will protect me from the water.”” He said, “”This day there is no protector (for anyone) against the commandment of Allah except for him on whom He has mercy,”” and a wave came in between them so he was among those who were drowned.

قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَىٰ جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ ۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا مَنْ رَحِمَ ۚ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-44

And it was said, “”O earth! swallow your water and O sky! withhold (the rain).”” And the water was absorbed (in the earth) and the affair was decided and the (ship) rested on (the mountain) Al Judi. And it was said, “”Away with the unjust people.”” (P 11

وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ ۖ وَقِيلَ بُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-45

And Nuh called out to his Fosterer and said, “”My Fosterer! my son is certainly from my people and your promise is certainly true and you are the Best Judge of (all) the judges.””

وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ رَبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنْتَ أَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-46

He said, “”O Nuh! he (your son) is certainly not from your people, his work is certainly other than righteous, so do not ask of Me that of which you have no knowledge, I admonish you lest you be of the ignorant.””

قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-47

He said, “”My Fosterer! I seek Your protection lest I ask You that of which I have no knowledge, and if You do not protectively forgive me and have mercy on me I will be of the losers.””

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-48

It was said, “”O Nuh! go down (from the ship and the mountain) with peace from Us and blessings on you and on communities from him who is with you. And (there will be) communities whom We will give provision, then a painful punishment from Us will afflict them.””

قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ ۚ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-49

That is from the news of the unseen which We communicate to you, before this you did not know it, you nor your people, so be patient, the (best) end is certainly for those who guard (against evil). (R 4)

تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَا إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَٰذَا ۖ فَاصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-50

And to (the people of) Aad (We sent) their brother Hud (as a messenger), he said, “”O my people! serve Allah, there is no god for you other than Him, you are nothing but forgers.

وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-51

O my people! I do not ask you for a reward for it, my reward is with none but Him Who initiated my creation. Do you not then understand?

يَا قَوْمِ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-52

And, O my people! ask protective forgiveness from your Fosterer, then turn to Him (in repentance), He will send (down from) the sky abundant rain on you and add strength to your strength, and do not turn back to be criminals.””

وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا مُجْرِمِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-53

They said, “”O Hud! you have not come to us with a clear proof and we are not going to give up our gods on your word and we do not believe in you.

قَالُوا يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَنْ قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-54

We say nothing but that some of our gods have attacked you with evil.”” He said, “”I call Allah to witness and you (too) bear witness, that I am certainly free from (worshipping) that which you associate as partners (with Allah),

إِنْ نَقُولُ إِلَّا اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ ۗ قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَاشْهَدُوا أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-55

instead of Him. So plot against me all together, then do not wait (to execute it),

مِنْ دُونِهِ ۖ فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ لَا تُنْظِرُونِ

11-56

I certainly put my trust in Allah, my Fosterer and your Fosterer. There is no moving creature but He holds it by its forelock. My Fosterer is certainly on the straight path.

إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ ۚ مَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-57

So if you turn back, then I have conveyed to you that with which I was sent to you, and my Fosterer will make a people other than you to succeed you, and you cannot harm Him in anything; my Fosterer is certainly a Protector over everything.””

فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ مَا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-58

And when Our commandment came to pass, by Our mercy, We saved Hud and those who believed with him and We saved them from a hard punishment.

وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ

“Same to Verse No.25”

11-59

And that was (the community of) Aad, they denied the signs of their Fosterer and disobeyed His messengers and followed the command of every compelling opponent.

وَتِلْكَ عَادٌ ۖ جَحَدُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا رُسُلَهُ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
