List Of Sura's

Ibrahim (Abraham)

14-20

“Same to Verse No.19”

14-21

And they will all appear before Allah. Then the weak will say to those who were considered great, “”We were your followers, so can you keep us safe from anything of Allah’s punishment?” They will say, “Had Allah guided us we would have guided you. (now) it is the same to us whether we are impatient or patient, there is no way of escape for us.” (R3)

On the day of resurrection the followers will fight with their leaders for misleading them and the devil will admit that his promise was false and that he had just invited them towards evil, they only responded to be led to a painful punishment. The believers who did good work will be in paradise.

14-22

And the devil will say after the affair is decided, “”Allah certainly promised you the promise of truth and I promised you but went against (my promise to) you, and I had no authority over you except that I invited you and you responded to me, so do not blame me but blame yourselves. I cannot help you (on your cries for help) nor can you help me I certainly rejected that (act of yours) in which you earlier associated me as a partner (with Allah). Those who are unjust, for them there is certainly a painful punishment.””

14-23

And those who believed and did righteous works will be made to enter the gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will stay therein by the permission of their Fosterer. Their greeting therein will be ‘Peace’.

14-24

Did you not consider how Allah sets forth a similitude? A good statement is like a good tree, the root of which is firm and the branches of which are in the sky.

Most of the Commentators state that ‘Kalimatan Tiyyibah’ translated as ‘A good statement’ is : ‘There is no god except Allah (SWT) and Muhammed (PBH) is the messenger of Allah (SWT)’. Acceptance of this statement in faith and deed is essential for entry into Islam. This statement, when accepted in the life of this world on the earth, is not only beneficial here but also in the hereafter like a tree, the roots of which are firm, the branches of which extend high in the sky and which always produces fruits.

Bara bin Azib (R.A) reports that the messenger of Allah (SWT) had said, “When a Momin is questioned in the grave, he bears witness that ‘There is no god except Allah (SWT) and Muhammed (PBH) is the messenger of Allah (SWT)’ then he recited the verse 14:27 meaning that ‘through this confirmed statement, Allah (SWT) establishes those who believe, both in the life of this world and the hereafter…..” In contrast to this a bad statement exhibiting sin, hypocrisy, polytheism, infidelity etc. is like a weak tree which can be very easily pulled out i.e. destroyed.

14-28

Did you not see those who exhibit ingratitude in exchange for Allah’s favours and make their people alight into the home of loss,

Some people, are ungrateful to Allah (SWT), these will be punished in hell.

14-29

hell, they will enter it and it is an evil place (and time for) staying.

“Same to Verse No.28”

14-30

And they set up equals with Allah that they may mislead (people) from His way. Say, “”Enjoy yourselves, but you are certainly destined for hell.””

“Same to Verse No.28”

14-31

Say to My servants who believe, that they should establish worship (salat) and spend from that which We have provided them, secretly and publicly, before the coming of a day in which there will be neither (mutual) trade nor friendship.

Some instructions are given to believers.

14-32

Allah is He Who created the skies and the earth and sent down water from the sky, then through it He brought forth (many varieties) of fruits (as) provision for you. And He compelled the ships (to follow His laws) and thereby sail in the sea by His command for your (service), and He compelled the rivers (to follow His laws) for your (service).

Allah (SWT) introduces Himself as the One and the only One Who created the universe, Who brings about rain, produces food, makes the ships to sail, rivers to flow, compels the sun & the moon to follow His laws for the service of mankind causing night and day, Who gives everything which one asks from Him and Whose favours cannot be counted – still man is unjust and ungrateful to Him.

14-33

And He compelled the sun and the moon (to follow His laws) constantly for your (service) and compelled the night and the day (to follow His laws) for your service {1}.

Anthropic Principle of the Universe:

According to this principle proposed by many famous scientists, everything in the universe is fine tuned to suit human life on earth. (The Anthropic Universe, Martin Rees, New Scientist No. 115, 6th August ’87, Page 44).

14-34

And He gives you everything which you ask from Him and if you count Allah’s favours you will not be able to compute them. Man is certainly unjust, ungrateful. (R 5)

14-36

My Fosterer! they have misled many of the mankind, so whoever follows me is of me and whoever disobeys me, then certainly You are Protectively Forgiving, Merciful.
