And He it is Who created the skies and the earth in reality. And the day He says, “”Be,”” so it is. His word is the truth and His will be the authority the day it will be blown into the trumpet (or structure of the universe) {1}. Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is the Wise, the Informed. Allah (SWT) speaks the truth. On the day the trumpet will be blown no one will have any authority except Him. He alone has complete knowledge, information and wisdom The word ‘Sur’ translated as ‘trumpet’, also conveys the meaning of form, structure, inclination, attraction etc. In view of this blowing into the ‘Sur’ could also convey the sense of increasing or decreasing the attraction or the gravitational pull in the whole universe which would collapse it to a point or disperse it.
