Whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth is Allahs. And whether you manifest that which is in your souls or hide it, Allah will call you to account for it, then He will protectively forgive whom He wills and will punish whom He wills and Allah has power over everything.
1. Imagination and
2. Intention. A poor young man, can imagine a very rich and beautiful lady as his wife without any intention or plan to marry her, this imagination is an evil act yet he does not intend to harm anyone. It is probably about such (waswaas) that Abu Huraira (R.A.) reports. ‘The messenger (PBH) of Allah (SWT) observed, “verily Allah (SWT) forgave my people the evil promptings which arise within their hearts as long as they did not speak about them or did not act upon them (Bukhari; Muslim). Enemies of Islam had intended and planned to murder Ibrahim (PBH), Isa (PBH) and Muhammed (PBH) but they could not do so because Allah (SWT) had saved them. In this case, there is the bad intention and the cruel plan to kill innocent persons for no fault of theirs, therefore even if these persons could not execute their plan they are accountable, whether they had made their plan known to others or had kept it a secret because Allah (SWT) knows all secrets. The problem of punishing or forgiving such persons totally depends on Allah (SWT) because He has We may forget to implement some order of Allah (SWT) or commit a mistake while executing His orders, therefore we have to pray to Him for not catching us for such things and request him not to lay a burden on us as He had layed on our predecessors and a burden for which we do not have the capacity to bear. We should pray to Him for pardoning our past sins, protecting us from future sins, showering His mercy on us as our Guardian and finally helping us to invite the infidels towards Islam, through our faith and deed or giving us domination over them.”
