Then Adam received (some) words from his Fosterer, because He turned towards him (mercifully), He is certainly the Accepter of repentance, the Merciful.
Adam and Hawwa (PBT) realizing their mistake of disobeying Allah (SWT) and accepting that they were unjust to themselves as warned by Him earlier, prayed to Him for forgiveness and mercy (Chapter: 7 Verse 23) but Iblis did not do so. Allah (SWT) accepted their repentance and turned to them mercifully because He is the Accepter of repentance, the Merciful and communicated some words of guidance to Adam (PBH):-
