And We send down water from the sky with a (set) programme, then We settle it in the earth, and We have the power on its removal.
Rain that falls on the earth serves different purposes according to the programme set forth for it by Allah (SWT). It is used for growth of plants, by animals for drinking etc, it is stored underground and also in tanks and lakes. Rivers carry it to the seas and oceans. It is finally evaporated to form clouds for further rain. The whole water cycle has been designed by Allah (SWT).
