Alif Laam Meem are Arabic alphabets. Such alphabets appear at the beginning of many Suras. Their meanings are not known, nevertheless they are regarded as part of the Quran. Certain chapters have certain initials prefixed to them. Many guesses have been made as to their meaning but opinions differ.
