Ibrahim (Abraham)

0-1

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Our Prophet (PBH), through the very first revelation of the Quran, was ordered:
“Recite in the name of your Fosterer…” (Chapter 96: Verse 1) and the name of his and our Fosterer is Allah (SWT), as is evident from the very first verse of the first chapter of the Quran:
“Praise is due only for Allah (SWT), the Fosterer of the worlds”. (Chapter 1: Verse 1)
In view of this order of Allah (SWT), we should recite/read before starting the recitation or reading of the Holy Quran which is a part of the Quran, occurring at the beginning of 113 out of 114 chapters of the Quran and also as part of Chapter 27: Verse 30 of the Quran. Through Chapter 16: Verse 98, Allah Taala further orders:
“So when you recite/read the Quran, seek the protection of Allah from the accursed devil”.
This means that we are required to pray; (Aoozu Billahi min Ash shaitaanir Rajeem) meaning: “I seek the protection of Allah from the accursed devil”, even before reciting or reading: (Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem)

14-1

Alif Laam Raa. A book which We have sent down to you so that, by the permission of their Fosterer, you may bring out mankind from the darkness (and lead them) towards the light, towards the path of the Mighty, the Praised.

The purpose of sending messages and messengers by Allah (SWT) was to bring mankind out of the darkness of disbelief towards the light of belief so as to save them from hell and lead them towards paradise.

14-2

Allah is He, Whose is whatsoever is in the skies and whatsoever is in the earth; and sorrowful will be the state of the infidels due to a severe punishment.

Everything belongs to Allah (SWT) and no one else.

14-3

Some qualities of the people who are astray are mentioned.

14-4

And We did not send any messenger (with a message) but in the language of his people that he might make (things) clear to them. Then Allah leaves in error whom He wills and guides whom He wills and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

All Devine books and messengers were sent in the language of the people to whom they were sent.

14-5

And We had sent Musa with Our signs (saying) that, “”Bring out your people from the darkness towards the light and remind them of the days (favours) of Allah, certainly in that there are signs for every patient, grateful one.””

The message with which Musa (PBH) was sent is mentioned. In the killing of the male children of Bani Israel, there was a trial from Allah (SWT) not Firawn. Allah (SWT) gives more to those who are grateful and punishes those who are ungrateful. He does not need the gratitude of human beings. He is Independent of everything and everyone, being Worthy of praise.

And when your Fosterer announced: If you are grateful I will definitely give you more, but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is certainly severe.””

And Musa said, “”If you are ungrateful, you and all in the earth together, (even) then Allah is certainly Independent, Praised.””

Some details from the histories of earlier communities are given.

14-10

Their messengers said, “”Is there a doubt about Allah, the Initiator of the creation of the skies and the earth? He invites you to protectively forgive you your sins and to give you time till an appointed term.”” They said, “”You are nothing but men like us, you intend to turn us away from that which our fathers used to serve (worship), so bring to us some clear authority.””

And what (reason) have we that we should not put our trust in Allah when He has guided us to our ways? And we will definitely be patient on the harm which you do to us, and therefore, let those who trust, put their trust in Allah.”” (R 2)

14-13

And those who did not believe said to their messengers, “”We will definitely drive you out from our land or else you should return to our religious dictates.”” So their Fosterer communicated to them, “”We will definitely destroy the unjust,

and We will definitely make you dwell in the land after them.”” That’s for him who fears standing before Me and fears My threat.

And the (messengers) sought for victory, so every compelling opponent was defeated.

He will drink it little by little but he will not be able to swallow it, and death will come to him from every place yet he will not die, and before him there will be a harsh punishment.

14-18

The likeness of those who do not believe in their Fosterer (is like those) whose works will be like ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day. They will not have power on anything of that which they earned. That (in fact), will be going far astray (from success).

“Same to Verse No.9”

14-19

Do you not see that Allah created the skies and the earth in reality? * If He wills He can remove you and bring in a new creation, [* The universe is real, not an illusion.]

The universe is a reality not an illusion and Allah ( SWT ) can replace human beings with a new creation,
