Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2-200

So when you have completed your devotional rites, then remember Allah as you remembered (talked about) your fathers or remember Him still more intensely (and reverently). So among human beings are those who say, “”Our Fosterer! give us in this world,”” and they have no portion in the hereafter.

“Same to Verse No.195”

2-201

And of them are those who say, “”Our Fosterer! give us good in this world and good in the hereafter and save us from the punishment of fire.””

“Same to Verse No.195”

2-202

Those are the persons for whom there is (their) portion of what they earned, and Allah is Quick at (settling) the account. (P 1

And among human beings is he whose speech about the life of the world makes you wonder, and he makes Allah witness over that which is in his heart, yet he is the most rigid in opposition,

“Four types of human beings who claim to believe in Allah (SWT) have been described in Verses. Nos. 200 – 207.

1. Those who want good in this world – these people have no portion in the hereafter Verse. 200.

2, Those who want good here as well as in the hereafter and safety from fire – these people will get that which they strive for Verses. 201 – 202.

3. One who has a wonderful way of talking about worldly matters and to make others believe that he is very good at heart, he makes Allah (SWT) a witness. In actuality he is an extremely quarrel – some person causing disturbance in the land by destroying crop and cattle. When he is asked to fear Allah (SWT) and stop corrupt practices his proud Ego does not allow him to give up sin. Allah (SWT) does not like corruption therefore such a person will be in hell.

4.There is a person who sells himself to please Allah (SWT) i.e. his very existence is to implement the Quran in accordance with the instructions of Prophet Muhammed (PBH). Allah (SWT) is full of pity for His servants i.e. He does not allow any harmful thing even to touch them, therefore such a person is made to land in paradise.”

2-205

2-206

And when it is said to him, “”Fear Allah,”” the might (pride) makes him hold on to sin, so hell is sufficient for him and it is surely an evil place of habitation.

“Allah (SWT) likes the 4th category of human beings described in Verse. No. 207, consequently He orders all the believers to enter Islam completely not partially and this can be done by not following the devil, their open enemy. Inspite of the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (PBH) if someone slips from the straight path leading to paradise then he should know that Allah (SWT) is Mighty to punish him and wise to catch them for this purpose even if they hide their internal state of mind as in case No. 3 Verses. Nos. 204 – 206. The sinners appear to be waiting for the ‘Day of Judgment’ when Allah (SWT) will come along with the angels (who will have the complete record of human deeds) and the affair of all human beings will be decided because all affairs are referred to Allah (SWT) only, for His decision.”

2-209

“Same to Verse No.208”

2-210

Do they wait for anything else than that Allah should come to them in the shadows of the clouds with the angels and the affair be decided? And to Allah are returned (all) affairs. (R 25)

2-211

“The children of Israel are being reminded of the clear signs sent to them probably in the form of miracles performed through Musa (PBH) and the Torah, a favour from Allah (SWT) which they altered and for which they will be punished severely.”

2-212

The life of the world is made glamorous for those who do not believe, and they make a jest of those who believe, but those who guard (against evil) will be above the (infidels) on the day of resurrection. And Allah provides without measure to whom he wills.

“Getting influenced and attracted by worldly glamour is one of the many qualities of the infidels, who look down upon the believers probably due to their disinterest in worldly glamour but on the day of resurrection the believers will be above them. No one should feel proud about his worldly possessions or consider them to be his personal achievement because it is Allah (SWT) who provides immeasurable abundance of whatever He wills to whom ever He wills and whenever He wills both in this world and in the hereafter.”

2-213

Human beings were a single community, then Allah sent prophets as conveyers of good news and as warners and sent down with them the book containing the truth, so that it may (serve as a source of) judgment between human beings in (matters) in which they differed. And none differed there in except those who were given (the book containing prescribed laws), after (receiving) the clear proofs which had come to them, (and this they did) due to mutual envy. So Allah by His will, guided those who believed, in those (matters in) which they had differed from the truth. And Allah guides whom He wills towards the straight path.

“All human beings are the great grand children of Adam and Hawwa (PBT) in which sense they form a single community. As the population increased Allah (SWT) sent Prophets with Divine laws for judgment of affairs in which human beings had difference of opinion. This difference of opinion persisted even after receiving the Divine Laws, just because of mutual rivalry, therefore Allah (SWT) guided towards the truth only those who believed in the Divine revelation. Allah (SWT) guides towards the straight path leading to paradise whomever He will. Like provision, no one has any control on guidance too.”

2-214

Do you think that you will enter the garden while there has not yet come upon you the like of (that which came upon) those who passed away before you? Distress and harm befell them and they were shaken to the extent that the messenger and those who believed with him said, “”When will Allahs help come?”” Beware! Allah’s help is near.

“Entering paradise is a very tough job. No one can enter it unless he is successful in the test conducted by Allah (SWT) to select those whose deeds are good 67:2. This test was conducted for out predecessor too, on account of which distress and harm afflicted them to such an extent that they were shaken and they along with the messenger of Allah (SWT) prayed to Allah (SWT) for help which is always near.”

2-215

“The first priority, while spending, should be given to parents then to relatives, orphans, poor, wayfarer etc. Allah (SWT) knows whatever good one does.”

2-216

“Fighting is a tough thing and is normally not liked by people because of the risk of getting wounded or being killed. But fighting in the way of Allah is good from the point of view of reward. Because of lack of knowledge it is possible that we may dislike a good thing and like a bad thing. The fact is that Allah (SWT) knows and we do not know, therefore the best attitude is to obey Him in everything. Turning people away from the path of Allah (SWT), from the Sacred Mosque, expelling them from it and infidelity are greater sins than fighting during the sacred months. Persecution is a greater sin than slaughter because in slaughter a person dies and the matter ends while in persecution his whole life becomes continuously miserable. The effort of the infidels is to turn away Muslims from Islam by whatever means they can adopt but whoever turns away from Islam and dies as an infidel, then whatever good he had done while a Muslim will become fruitless and he will be punished in the fire, wherein he will stay Contrary to this those who had believed and migrated from Makkah and struggled in the path of Allah (SWT) to establish His religion – Islam, these are the persons who have the right to hope for the mercy of Allah (SWT) in the form of paradise and safety from hell because He forgives sins and is Merciful.”

2-217

They ask you about fighting during the sacred month, say, “”Fighting in it is a great (sin) but turning away (people) from the way of Allah and infidelity to Him, and (stopping people from) the Sacred Mosque and expelling its people from it are greater (sins) with Allah. And persecution is a greater (sin) than slaughter.”” And they will not cease fighting with you till they turn you back from your religion if they can, and whosoever from among you turns back from his religion, then dies while he is an infidel, then those are the persons whose deeds shall be fruitless in this world and the hereafter, and those are the inhabitants of the fire, they will stay therein.

“In intoxicants and games of chance there is little gain and more of loss: Intoxicants effect the nervous system, cause Cirrhosis of liver, disturb personal, family and social life. Games of chance give rise to the urge of winning over the money of our friends, the excitement leads to heart diseases and loses have sometimes made people penniless. Charity should be given from money left after one’s essential expenditure. Through these statements in the Quran, people are invited to reflect on the consequences of certain deeds in this world and the associated reward or punishment after death.”
