List Of Sura's

An-Nisa’ (The Women)

4-160

Because of the injustice of the Jews, We made unlawful on them the good (things of their liking) which were lawful for them (earlier) and because of their turning away many (people) from the way of Allah,

Certain foods were forbidden because they were harmful 2:173, water was prohibited for testing the loyalty, the third reason for forbidding certain things is punishment for sins.

4-161

and their taking usury when they were indeed forbidden from it, and their wrongfully swallowing the wealth of people. And We have prepared for the infidels among them, a painful punishment.

4-162

Jews sound in knowledge and the followers of Prophet Muhammed (PBH) believe in the Quran and the earlier Divine revelations, they also believe in Allah and the life after death and prove their belief through Salat and zakat.

4-163

The Quran was communicated to Prophet Muhammed (PBH) just like other books communicated to Prophets before him, all of whom are not mentioned in the Quran. The purpose of all these Divine communications was that mankind should not put forward excuses on the day of resurrection saying that they did not know what was good or evil and the consequent reward or punishment in paradise or hell.

4-164

and messengers about whom We did mention to you earlier and messengers about whom We did not mention to you, and Allah spoke to Musa speaking (to him directly),

4-165

messengers, conveyers of good news and warners, that there should not be any plea for mankind against Allah (of not having been informed of the right path) after (receiving the message of) the messengers, and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

4-166

But Allah bears witness regarding that which He sent down to you, (that) He sent it down with His knowledge and the angels (too) bear witness and Allah is sufficient as a Witness.

People may or may not accept the Quran as a Divine message but Allah (SWT) and then Allah (SWT) does not lose anything because all that is in the universe belongs to Him. His angels bear witness that it was sent down by Him through Jibreel (PBH) with His knowledge. Those who reject the Quran will land in hell. The whole mankind is invited to believe in Prophet Muhammed (PBH) i.e. to follow the Quran according to his teachings. If they reject then Allah (SWT) does not lose anything because all that is in the universe belongs to Him.

4-167

Those who do not believe and turn away (people) from the way of Allah, have certainly erred, going far astray.

O mankind! the messenger has come to you with the truth from your Fosterer, therefore believe (in him, that will be) better for you, and if you do not believe then (know that) whatever is in the skies and the earth, is certainly Allahs, and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

4-171

O owners of the book! do not commit excesses in your religion, and do not say about Allah (anything) other than the truth. The Messiah, Isa the son of Maryam, was only a messenger of Allah and His word which He communicated to Maryam and a spirit from Him, so believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, “”Three,”” it will be better for you (if) you stop (saying it). Allah is only One God (and not one of the three as Christians claim). It is far from His Glory that He should have a son for Himself. Whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth is His and Allah is sufficient as a Trustee. (R 23)

Owners of the book are warned against the false beliefs they have about Isa (PBH) and are given correct information (Sec 3:42 – 51). The righteous will be rewarded and those who disdain serving Allah (SWT) and consider themselves great, will be punished.

Then as for those who believe and do righteous works, He will give them their rewards in full and will increase for them (the reward by giving more) from His grace. And as for those who disdain and consider themselves great, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves any guardian or helper besides Allah.

The word ‘Burhan’ meaning ‘proof’ appears to refer to the Quran and Prophet Muhammed (PBH) who was a proof of, the mention of his messengership, by all Prophets 3:81, 61:6 and in the Torah and the Infeel 7:157. The clear light is the Quran which illuminates the path leading to paradise for those who hold fast to Allah (SWT) by following His message according to the teachings of His messenger. One has to realize the intimate relationship between the message and the messenger.

They ask you for a legal decision, say, “”Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor children: If a man dies (and) he has no child, but has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves, and he shall be her heir if she has no child; but if there be two (sisters) they shall have two thirds of what he leaves, and if there are brothers and sisters, then for the male is a share equal to two females. Allah makes (things) clear for you so that you should not commit a mistake, and Allah is the Knower of everything.”” (R 24)

Legal decision regarding heirs of a person who has neither parents nor children is given.
